17 Power to fund education and care services and associated children's services The Secretary to the Department of Education may provide grants, payments, subsidies or other financial assistance to any person providing or operating an approved education and care service or an associated children's service from funds administered by the Secretary for that purpose on terms and conditions that the Secretary considers appropriate. S. 18 repealed by No. 69/2010 s. 18(5), new s. 18 inserted by No. 43/2022 s. 5. 18 Regulations modifying references to the Law and National Quality Framework in national regulations in relation to Child Safe Standards condition (1) The Governor in Council may make regulations for or with respect to— (a) the modification of references to the "Law" or the "National Quality Framework" in the national regulations in relation to the Child Safe Standards condition; (b) the application of the national regulations as a law of this jurisdiction subject to modifications referred to in paragraph (a). (2) The regulations may— (a) be of general or limited application; (b) differ according to differences in time, place or circumstances. S. 18A inserted by No. 53/2025 s. 124.
