17M Suspension—student’s education and counselling (1) If a student at a school is suspended, the principal of the school must ensure the student is given the materials and support needed to continue their education during the period of suspension. (2) If a student at a school is suspended for a total of 7 or more school days in a school term (consecutively or otherwise), the principal of the school must ensure that the student is given a reasonable opportunity to attend counselling.
