11 Participation requirement—absence A child’s participation in an education course is taken for this Act to continue during an absence that is— (a) allowed under the requirements of the course or by the provider of the course; or (b) required under a territory law or a law of the Commonwealth, a State or another Territory. Will is absent from an education provider because a public health direction under the Public Health Act 1997 requires that he be confined to home for 2 weeks.
