100 Registration amendment—referral to registration standards advisory board (1) The Minister must refer an application under section 97 to the registration standards advisory board. (a) consider the application; and (b) assess whether the school as proposed to be changed or transferred would, if registered, comply with the registration standards; and (c) if the application includes a proposal to provide distance education from a campus—assess whether the school has a distance education policy. (3) The board may, by written notice, require an applicant or proposed new proprietor to give the board further information that the board reasonably needs to assess the application, within a stated time. (4) The board must— (a) give the Minister a report of the board’s assessment; or
(b) if the board is unable to make an assessment because the applicant or proposed new proprietor has not complied with a notice under subsection (3)—notify the Minister of that fact. (5) After the Minister receives a report, the registrar must give public notice of the report.
