#### 42 Approval of system of non-government schools 42 Approval of system of non-government schools > > (1) As soon as practicable after receiving an application for approval of a proposed system of non-government schools, the Minister is— > > > > > (a) to approve the system, or > > > > > (b) to refuse to approve the system. > > > (2) The Minister is to approve the system if the Minister is satisfied that the manner in which it is proposed to monitor compliance with the requirements for registration of the schools and (if appropriate) for accreditation of the schools is adequate. > > > (3) The Minister is to give the approved authority for the system written notice of the Minister’s decision. > > > (4) Unless the approved authority for a system of non-government schools makes an application for registration of the schools (including those schools already registered under this Act) within 6 months of the Minister’s approval of the system, that approval lapses.
