sec.79 Deemed applications for eligibility for government funding

This section applies if— the governing body of a school applies for accreditation of the school; and the governing body indicates in the application that the governing body seeks to be eligible for government funding for the school. The governing body is taken to have made an application to be eligible for government funding for the school under section 78 on the day the board received the application for accreditation of the school. The application to be eligible for government funding for the school is taken to have been withdrawn if the board— decides to refuse to accredit the school under section 21 (3) ; or is taken to have refused to accredit the school under section 23 (1) (a) . (sec.79-ssec.1) This section applies if— the governing body of a school applies for accreditation of the school; and the governing body indicates in the application that the governing body seeks to be eligible for government funding for the school. (sec.79-ssec.2) The governing body is taken to have made an application to be eligible for government funding for the school under section 78 on the day the board received the application for accreditation of the school. (sec.79-ssec.3) The application to be eligible for government funding for the school is taken to have been withdrawn if the board— decides to refuse to accredit the school under section 21 (3) ; or is taken to have refused to accredit the school under section 23 (1) (a) .
