Tasmania regulation
This Order declares the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZX) to be a "recognised stock exchange" for the purposes of the Duties Act 2001 (s3). Mechanically, that brings transactions conducted on the NZX within the category of exchange-related dealings the Duties Act treats as occurring on a recognised exchange. That affects issuers, investors and taxpayers by changing which transfers fall inside the Duties Act’s rules, and the instrument is administered by the Department of Treasury and Finance (s3).
