Tasmania regulation
This Order (s3) declares the National Stock Exchange of Australia Limited (ABN 11 000 902 063) to be a "recognised stock exchange" for the purposes of the Duties Act 2001 and takes effect when its making is notified in the Gazette (s2). It is administered by the Department of Treasury and Finance.
Mechanically, that declaration makes the Duties Act’s rules about recognised exchanges apply to dealings on that exchange, which may change how duties are assessed for participants; the Order does not set duty rates itself.
