248A Registration of approved agents (1) The Commissioner, on the recommendation of the Secretary, may register a livestock agent within the meaning of the **Livestock Disease Control Act 1994** as an approved agent for the purposes of this Part and Part 6 of that Act. (2) The Commissioner may, after consulting the Secretary, revoke a registration made under subsection (1). (3) The Commissioner must assign a number to every livestock agent registered as an approved agent.
