(1) No duty is chargeable under this Chapter on an application for registration or transfer of registration of a motor vehicle lodged by a person who holds a licence under a law of another State or a Territory that corresponds to the **Motor Car Traders Act 1986** but does not hold a licence under that Act. S. 232(2) amended by No. 85/2005 s. 12(b). (2) Subsection (1) does not apply unless the application is lodged in the course of carrying out the business to which the licence relates.
