3 Definitions

In this regulation—

driving instruction means instruction given to a person for the purposes of teaching the person to drive a motor vehicle.

exempt vehicle means the following—

(a) a motor vehicle provided by an instructee,

(b) a motor bike,

(c) a motor trike.

GVM has the same meaning as in the Road Transport Act 2013.

implement has the same meaning as in the Road Rules 2014, rule 294–1.

instructee means a person receiving driving instruction from a driving instructor.

motor bike has the same meaning as in the Road Rules 2014.

motor trike means a motor vehicle with 3 wheels, but does not include a 2-wheeled motor vehicle with an attached side car that is supported by a third wheel.

the Act means the Driving Instructors Act 1992.
