Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation repeals the 1979 Dried Vine Fruits Equalization Levy Regulations made under the Dried Vine Fruits Equalization Levy Act 1978.

What it does:

Removes the old 1979 regulations from the statute book
Takes effect from 1 January 1982
Leaves the underlying Act intact—only the regulations are removed

Why it matters: This is a housekeeping (cleanup) measure. It ensures that outdated regulatory rules no longer apply to the dried vine fruits industry, likely because they were replaced by new arrangements or became unnecessary. Growers and industry bodies no longer need to comply with the specific rules set out in the 1979 regulations, though any obligations under the parent Act itself continue.
