Tasmania regulation
These regulations (s2–s4) declare that a Queensland police protection direction under the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012 is an 'interstate DVO' for the Domestic Violence Orders (National Recognition) Act 2016 (s3), rescind the 2017 Regulations (s4), and commence on Gazette notification (s2).
Mechanically, the change requires police, courts and regulated bodies to recognise and treat those Queensland protection directions as nationally recognised DVOs. Enforcement agencies bear the implementation effort; affected individuals face altered enforcement and compliance consequences under the parent Act's definitions (s3).
