39 Effect of a variation on the contract price Unless the contrary intention appears, if the plans or specifications set out in a major domestic building contract are varied in accordance with section 37 or 38, any reference in this Act, the regulations or the contract to— (a) those plans or specifications is to be read as a reference to them as varied; and (b) the contract price is to be read as a reference to the contract price as adjusted to take account of the variation; and (c) the completion date, or the number of days required to finish the work, is to be read as a reference to that date, or number of days, as adjusted to take account of the variation.
