41D Notification of Council in relation to menacing dog
(1) The owner of a menacing dog must notify the Council of the municipal district in which the dog is kept within 24 hours if—
(a) the dog rushes at or chases a person; or
(b) the dog is missing; or

(ba) the owner's address changes; or
S. 41D(1)(bb) inserted by No. 69/2004 s. 28(b).
(bb) the place where the dog is kept changes; or
S. 41D(1)(c) amended by No. 8/2014 s. 7(1).
(c) the ownership of the dog changes; or
S. 41D(1)(d) inserted by No. 8/2014 s. 7(2).
(d) the municipal district in which the dog is kept changes.

(2) A notice given under subsection (1)(ba) must include the new address of the owner.

(3) A notice given under subsection (1)(bb) must include the address of the new place at which the dog is kept.

(4) The owner of a menacing dog must notify the Council of the municipal district in which the dog is kept within 14 days of the owner becoming aware of the death of the dog (other than in the case of destruction in accordance with this Act).
