26 Domestic accommodation etc
(1) Section 21 does not make unlawful discrimination in relation to—
(a) the provision of accommodation if—
(i) the person who provides or proposes to provide the
accommodation, or a near relative or carer of the person,
lives and intends to continue to live on the premises; and
(ii) the accommodation provided in the premises is for not
more than 6 people, not including the person mentioned in
subparagraph (i) and any near relative or carer of the
(b) the provision of accommodation by a charitable or voluntary
body for members of a relevant class of people.
(2) Also, section 21 does not make it unlawful for a person to
discriminate on the ground of accommodation status in relation to the
provision of accommodation if the discrimination is reasonable,
having regard to any relevant factors.
near relative, of a person, means—
(a) a parent, child, grandparent, grandchild, brother or sister of the

paragraph (a).
