#### 6B Secretary may approve accrediting authorities (1) The Secretary may approve an authority that has the function of granting accreditation to certification bodies that the authority is satisfied will carry out certifying functions competently and impartially. (2) The Secretary must not approve an authority under subsection (1) unless the Secretary is satisfied that the authority: (a) is internationally recognised as a suitable authority to grant accreditation of the kind mentioned in that subsection; and (b) will perform its functions in an independent and impartial way.
