81 Entities may conduct testing in the Australian Government Digital ID System

(1) The System Administrator may authorise an entity to conduct testing in the Australian Government Digital ID System for the purposes of determining the entity’s capability or suitability to participate in the system. (2) The authorisation: (a) must be in writing; and (b) must specify the period for which it is in force, which must not exceed 3 months; and (c) may be granted unconditionally or subject to conditions.

Note: The System Administrator may vary or revoke the authorisation: see subsection 33(3) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901.

(3) If an authorisation under this section is given subject to a condition and the condition is not met at a particular time, the authorisation ceases to be in force at that time.
