Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This determination gives the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS) the legal green light to award two specific qualifications to graduating students:

Graduate Certificate in Webisodes – a short postgraduate course focused on creating online video series
Graduate Diploma in Producing and Screen Business – a substantial postgraduate qualification covering film production and screen industry business skills

Under the Australian Film, Television and Radio School Act 1973, AFTRS cannot simply create and issue any degree or diploma it chooses. It needs formal approval (called a "determination") to add qualifications to its official list. This document provides that approval for these two specific courses. Once registered, the determination takes effect automatically the next day, allowing the School to legally confer these awards on students who complete the requirements.
