#### 42 Disclosure of protected information to courts or tribunals Scope (1) This section applies if: (a) a person is, or was at any time, an entrusted public official; and (b) the person obtained: (i) protected information; or (ii) a document that contains protected information; in the course of performing duties or functions, or exercising powers, under this Act. Disclosure of protected information to a court or tribunal (2) The person must not, except for the purposes of this Act, be required: (a) to disclose the protected information to a court or tribunal; or (b) to produce the document in a court or tribunal.
