#### 20 Dental benefit is not payable in respect of a dental service rendered as part of an episode of hospital treatment etc. (1) Dental benefit is not payable in respect of a dental service rendered to an eligible dental patient if the dental service is rendered: (a) as part of an episode of hospital treatment provided to the eligible dental patient; or (b) as part of hospital‑substitute treatment provided to the eligible dental patient in respect of which the eligible dental patient chooses to receive a benefit from a private health insurer. (2) In this section: > hospital‑substitute treatment has the same meaning as in the Private Health Insurance Act 2007. > hospital treatment has the same meaning as in the Private Health Insurance Act 2007.
