#### 16 Application for a longer period to lodge claims for assigned dental benefits (1) A person may, in accordance with the approved form, apply to the Chief Executive Medicare for a longer period within which to lodge a claim referred to in subsection 15(2). (2) If an application under subsection (1) is made, the Chief Executive Medicare may, by notice in writing given to the person, allow a longer period for the lodgment of the claim. (3) The Chief Executive Medicare must, in exercising his or her power under subsection (2), have regard to all matters that the Chief Executive Medicare considers relevant including, but not limited to, any hardship that might be caused to the person if a longer period is not allowed.
