Commonwealth legislation
This instrument is a Defence Determination made for the "State of Emergency – Townsville floods" that provides a legal basis for Defence action connected to that emergency. It directly governs how Defence may operate in relation to the Townsville flood response. The Determination was amended twice within weeks of issue (Amendment Determinations No. 2 and No. 3), so the original text and practical duties were adjusted soon after first registration.
