#### 8 Minister may declare prohibited areas
If it is necessary for the purposes of the defence of the Commonwealth so to do, the Minister may, by notice published in the Gazette, declare an area of land or water or an area of land and water (whether or not it belongs to or is used for the purposes of the Sovereign, the Commonwealth or a State) to be a prohibited area.
