20Refusing to engage commission agent

#### 20 Refusing to engage commission agent (1) A person must not refuse or fail to engage another person as a commission agent for the reason that, or for reasons that include the reason that, the other person, or an officer or employee of the other person: (a) may volunteer to render defence service; or (b) is rendering defence service; or (c) is, or may become, liable to render defence service; or (d) has previously rendered defence service. (2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence. Penalty: 30 penalty units. > Note: See section 4AA of the Crimes Act 1914 for the current value of a penalty unit. (3) A person who contravenes subsection (1) is liable to a civil penalty. Civil penalty: 100 penalty units.
