19Time of war or defence emergency

#### 19 Time of war or defence emergency (1) If a member’s period of service would end during a time of war or during a defence emergency, the period of service is extended until the Chief of the Defence Force releases the member from service. (2) The Chief of the Defence Force must release the member from service as soon as practicable after the end of the time of war or the defence emergency. (3) This section does not prevent a period of service being changed during a time of war or during a defence emergency under another provision of this regulation.
