35 Limited‑tenure promotion
(1) The Governor‑General may promote an officer to any of the following ranks for a specified period: (a) Commander or a higher rank; (b) Lieutenant‑Colonel or a higher rank; (c) Wing Commander or a higher rank. (2) The Chief of the officer’s Service may extend the period.
Note 1: An officer may decline to be promoted under this regulation.
Note 2: An officer who has been promoted under this regulation is affected by regulation 66.
