22Confirmation

#### 22 Confirmation (1) If: (a) an officer is appointed provisionally; and (b) the officer complies with all conditions mentioned in subregulation 17(2); and (c) the officer’s service in the Defence Force has not been terminated; the Chief of the officer’s Service must, as soon as practicable, confirm the appointment. (2) If: (a) an officer is appointed on probation; and (b) the officer’s period of probation ends without the officer’s service in the Defence Force being terminated; the Chief of the officer’s Service must, as soon as practicable, confirm the appointment. (3) If: (a) an officer is appointed provisionally and on probation; and (b) subregulations (1) and (2) apply; the Chief of the officer’s Service must confirm the appointment as soon as practicable after the later of the events mentioned in paragraphs (1)(b) and (2)(b).
