5 Definitions
Note: A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in the Act, including the following:
(a) eligible;
(b) foreign service member;
(c) Permanent Forces;
(d) Reserves.
(1) In this instrument:
Act means the Defence Home Ownership Assistance Scheme Act 2008.
day of Reserve service: see section 12.
ineffective service: see section 18.
service year: see subsection (2).
transfer year for a person means a service year in which the person transfers:
(a) from the Permanent Forces to the Reserves; or
(b) from the Reserves to the Permanent Forces.
(2) For the purposes of the definition of service year in section 3 of the Act, a service year is a financial year.
