#### 82N Deferred benefits applicable in respect of previous employment In this Division, a reference, in relation to a member, to deferred benefits applicable in respect of the member under a superannuation scheme applicable in relation to any employment in which he was employed at any time before the date on which he became a member is a reference: (a) in the case of the superannuation scheme constituted by the provisions of this Act and the other Acts relating to retirement benefits for members of the Defence Force—to deferred benefits applicable in respect of the member under Division 3 of this Part; and (b) in the case of any other superannuation scheme—to benefits, whether by way of a lump sum or of a pension, applicable in respect of the member under the scheme but not immediately payable, being benefits based wholly upon contributions under the scheme by the employer or based partly upon such contributions and partly upon contributions under the scheme by the member.
