78Delayed inquiries

#### 78 Delayed inquiries (1) If: (a) a complaint has been made to a commanding officer under regulation 75; and (b) 90 days have elapsed since the complaint was made; the service chief must decide whether or not the complaint should be referred to himself or herself. (2) If a service chief decides, under subregulation (1), that a complaint should be referred to himself or herself: (a) the complaint is taken to be referred to the service chief as if it had been referred under regulation 82; and (b) the service chief must inquire into the complaint under regulation 77; and (c) the commanding officer to whom the complaint was made under regulation 75 is discharged from his or her obligations under this Part to inquire into and make a decision on the complaint.
