#### 11 Removal and suspension of members from office (1) The Governor‑General may remove a member from office upon an address praying for the removal of the member being presented to the Governor‑General by each House of the Parliament in the same session of the Parliament. (2) A member may be suspended from office by the Governor‑General. (3) The Minister shall cause to be laid before each House of the Parliament a statement of the grounds of suspension within seven sitting days of that House after the suspension. (4) The member shall be restored to office by the Governor‑General unless each House of the Parliament, within fifteen sitting days of that House after the statement has been laid before it, declares by resolution that the member ought to be removed from office. (5) If each House within that time so declares, the member shall be removed from office by the Governor‑General accordingly. (6) A member shall not be removed from office except as provided by this section.
