99  Suspension from duty after conviction  (1) Where a service tribunal imposes upon a member of the Defence Force a punishment that does not take effect unless it is approved by a reviewing authority, the service tribunal or a reviewing authority may, by notice in writing served on the member, suspend the member from duty pending the decision of the reviewing authority.  (2) Where a member of the Defence Force is convicted of a service offence, a civil court offence or an overseas offence, an authorized officer may, by notice in writing served on the member, suspend the member from duty pending a decision as to the termination of the member’s service.  (3) A notice under subsection (1) or (2) shall be served in a manner specified in the regulations.
