Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Act authorises the government to withdraw £1.25 million from the Consolidated Revenue Fund for defence: £1,000,000 into the Naval Construction Trust Account for building naval ships and related works, and £250,000 into the Defence Reserve Trust Account for air force needs. The smaller air force sum is limited to buying aircraft and related gear, repairing/overhauling pre‑1924 aircraft equipment, and acquiring land/buildings for aircraft.

It simply gives the Defence Department legal authority to spend these specified funds.
