81 Deputy Commissioners
(1) The Commissioner may, in writing, appoint a person as a Deputy Commissioner to assist the Commissioner in the performance of the Commissioner’s functions.
(2) The Commissioner may also, in writing, appoint a person as a Deputy Commissioner to inquire into a specified matter as requested by the Minister under subsection 17(4).
(3) A person must not be appointed as a Deputy Commissioner unless the Commissioner is satisfied that the person has appropriate skills and experience.
(4) The Commissioner may appoint more than one person as a Deputy Commissioner.
(5) A Deputy Commissioner must comply with any directions of the Commissioner.
(6) A direction under subsection (5) is not a legislative instrument.
