Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

An authorised declaration (signed 14 Sep 2017 by Steven Dreezer under s.31(1) of the Jervis Bay Territory Emergency Management Ordinance 2015) treats every operation connected to the Jervis Bay fire from 1300 14 Sep to 1700 18 Sep 2017 as an “emergency operation” to which Part 4 applies. It thus brings agencies, contractors, volunteers and others within Part 4 for that period, but does not itself spell out funding, powers or liabilities—those follow from Part 4.
