sec.32 Acting for more than 1 party prohibited
A debt collector who is appointed to perform an activity for a person ( client ) in relation to another person must not accept appointment from the other person to perform an activity while the collector continues to act for the client in relation to the other person. Maximum penalty—200 penalty units. Subsection (1) does not apply if the debt collector acts for more than 1 party in relation to a debt agreement under the Bankruptcy Act 1966 (Cwlth) , part IX .
