6 Meaning of ensure (1) This section applies if a provision of this regulation requires a person to ensure that something is or is not done in relation to a dangerous (2) The requirement is satisfied if the person takes reasonable steps to eliminate the hazards, and eliminate or minimise the risks, that might result if the requirement were not met. Preliminary Chapter 1 Section 7 (3) Subsection (2) does not limit the ways in which the requirement may be satisfied. Note The following terms are defined in the Act: • hazard (see s 15 (1)) • risk (see s 15 (2)) • reasonable steps (see s 16).
