9 Meaning of compliance purposes (1) For this Act, a function is exercised for compliance purposes if the function is exercised to— (a) find out whether this Act is being complied with; or (b) investigate an offence, or suspected offence, against this Act. (2) To remove any doubt, a function may be exercised for compliance purposes even if the function is also exercised for 1 or more other purposes.
