177 Definitions—pt 5.1 divulge includes communicate. protected information means information about a person that is disclosed to, or obtained by, a relevant person because of the exercise of a function under this Act by the person or someone else. relevant person means a person who— (a) is or has been— (i) a delegate of a competent authority; or (ii) a person employed by, or engaged to provide services to or on behalf of, a competent authority; or (iii) a person employed by, or engaged to provide services to, a person or body engaged to provide services to a competent authority; or (b) exercises, or has exercised, a function under this Act.
