#### 32 Preventing injury and damage—taking direct action 32 Preventing injury and damage—taking direct action > If— > > > (a) an authorised officer believes on reasonable grounds that there is occurring or about to occur any dangerous activity, and > > > (b) either— > > > > > (i) a person to whom a notice under section 28 or 30 has been given has not complied with the notice, or > > > > > (ii) giving such a notice to a person would not be appropriate to avert, eliminate or minimise the danger, > > the authorised officer may take or cause to be taken any action the authorised officer believes on reasonable grounds to be necessary to avert, eliminate or minimise the danger.
