### 46 Information sharing > A person who is a personal information custodian within the meaning of the [Personal Information Protection Act 2004](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-2004-046) is not taken to contravene that Act by reason only of collecting, using, disclosing, or otherwise dealing with, personal information, for the purposes of this Act.
