25B Amount of dams safety levy—the Act, s 41(3)

(1) The owner of a declared dam must pay the amount of the dams safety levy for each financial year calculated as follows—

(a) for a regular payment made within 30 days after the date of issue of the levy notice—the amount of the dams safety levy must be calculated in accordance with Schedule 2, clause 2,

(b) for a late payment made more than 30 days after the date of issue of the levy notice—the amount of the dams safety levy must be calculated in accordance with Schedule 2, clause 3.

(2) The dams safety levy is not payable by instalments.

(3) The dams safety levy may be recovered as a debt due to the Crown in a court of competent jurisdiction if the levy has not been paid within 120 days from the date of issue of the levy notice referred to in subclause (1)(a).
