7Delegation by Foreign Secretary

#### 7 Delegation by Foreign Secretary (1) The Foreign Secretary may, in writing, delegate to an SES employee, or acting SES employee, in the Foreign Department one or more of the Foreign Secretary’s functions or powers under these Regulations. > Note: Sections 34AA to 34A of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 contain provisions relating to delegations. (2) A person performing functions or exercising powers under a delegation under subregulation (1) must comply with any written directions of the Foreign Secretary under subregulation (3). (3) The Foreign Secretary may, in writing, give directions for the purposes of subregulation (2).
