#### 22 Transitional matters—amendments made by the Combatting Antisemitism, Hate and Extremism (Firearms and Customs Laws) Act 2026 (1) The amendments of these Regulations made by Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Combatting Antisemitism, Hate and Extremism (Firearms and Customs Laws) Act 2026 apply in relation to goods imported into Australia on or after the commencement of that Part. (2) The amendments of these Regulations made by Part 4 of Schedule 2 to the Combatting Antisemitism, Hate and Extremism (Firearms and Customs Laws) Act 2026 apply in relation to: (a) any application for permission to import goods into Australia made at or after the commencement of that Part; and (b) any application for permission to import goods into Australia made before that commencement that has not been finally decided; and (c) any documentation given at or after that commencement to facilitate the importation of goods into Australia; and (d) any documentation given before that commencement to facilitate the importation of goods into Australia, where the goods are imported into Australia on or after that commencement. (3) The amendments of these Regulations made by Part 5 of Schedule 2 to the Combatting Antisemitism, Hate and Extremism (Firearms and Customs Laws) Act 2026 apply in relation to: (a) any application for permission to import goods into Australia made at or after the commencement of that Part; and (b) any application for permission to import goods into Australia made before that commencement that has not been finally decided; and (c) any documentation given at or after that commencement to facilitate the importation of goods into Australia; and (d) any documentation given before that commencement to facilitate the importation of goods into Australia, where the goods are imported into Australia on or after that commencement. (4) The amendments of these Regulations made by Part 6 of Schedule 2 to the Combatting Antisemitism, Hate and Extremism (Firearms and Customs Laws) Act 2026 apply in relation to: (a) any documentation given at or after the commencement of that Part to facilitate the importation of goods into Australia; and (b) any documentation given before that commencement to facilitate the importation of goods into Australia, where the goods are imported into Australia on or after that commencement.
