Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This by-law lets food-grade white mineral oil (tariff 2710.19.91) qualify for a customs duty concession in Australia if importers demonstrate it meets FDA safety standards 21 CFR 172.878 and 21 CFR 178.3620(a). It matters because eligible imports can be duty-reduced or duty-free, affecting importers and Australian food manufacturers who use the oil.
