Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This is a commencement proclamation—a formal government notice that "switches on" specific parts of a law. It brings Schedules 1 to 3 of the Customs Amendment (Anti-dumping Improvements) Act (No. 3) 2012 into legal effect on 11 June 2013.

What this means:

Anti-dumping laws prevent foreign companies from selling goods in Australia at unfairly low prices (below what they charge in their own country).
This document doesn't create new rules; it simply activates the anti-dumping improvements contained in the parent Act on the specified date.
Before this date, those schedules were not legally enforceable. After this date, they are.

Who made it: The Administrator of the Government (acting on ministerial advice) issued this proclamation under the commencement provisions built into the original Act.
