Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This instrument gives legal approval to a specific paperwork form (the Import Declaration N10, form number B650) that businesses must use when bringing goods into Australia.
What it covers: The approved form can be used for three specific situations:
Who needs to know: Importers, customs brokers, and freight companies who lodge import paperwork with the Australian Border Force.
Why it exists: Under the Customs Act 1901, forms must be officially "approved" to be legally valid. This document makes the N10 form the official paperwork for these three purposes.
