This instrument authorises an Italian-language version of the "Unaccompanied Personal Effects Statement" (Form B534 (6/00) Italian) as an approved form under the Customs Act 1901 (s4A) and Customs Regulations 1926 (reg 41) for supplying the information required by s71AAAB and reg 41 about unaccompanied personal or household effects. It affects travellers with unaccompanied goods and Customs/Quarantine officers because it gives the Italian form legal and evidential effect, reducing language barriers while leaving statutory obligations unchanged.

I, LIONEL BARRIE WOODWARD, Chief Executive Officer of Customs, under section 4A of the Customs Act 1901 (the Act) and regulation 41 of the Customs Regulations 1926 (the Regulations), approve the attached "Unaccompanied Personal Effects Statement" form (No. B534 (6/00) Italian) as an approved form for the purpose of providing, in the Italian language, information required under section 71AAAB of the Act and regulation 41 of the Regulations in relation to goods that are the unaccompanied personal or household effects of a passenger.
This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.
