Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This instrument approves the CARGO REPORT (SEA) form as the official paperwork for reporting sea cargo to Australian Customs, replacing the prior 2005 approval. It affects shipping companies, cargo reporters and importers, requiring standardised reporting of goods being unloaded in Australia or carried onward, while excluding personal luggage, crew effects and ship stores.
Standardisation helps Customs screen for security, tax and biosecurity risks before goods enter Australia.
